Way back in those days when I wasn’t spoiled by how easy layouting was in livejournal, I was tweaking blogger accounts left and right. (This was before google acquired blogger, btw.) So I thought that with PCM Veya’s challenge of making a blogger layout for their girl gamer would be an easy thing. Not so. D= Even with the basic template from those readily available from the site, identifying what your code will do to your page was difficult. I haven’t done css coding in more than a year, and though the syntax was familiar, the use of blogger code for formatting wasn’t.
Anyway, I somehow managed to get something scrabbled up for practice using the base layout Scribe. It’s rather pink, ain’t it? The background for the posts and footer were the ones that gave me the most problems. I had to run a search for hexadecimal colors to find out what I was doing wrong! I’ll be posting the template code as I’ve edited it later, but right now I’m just going to try if I can get something interesting via the Adelina’s Booty. ^_^
I’m not happy at the fixed width layout I’ve come up with. It’s determined by the size of the header image, and I’m having a hard time finding a large enough free image I can edit. I’m also worried about the sidebar and the margins between posts, because they look very unwieldly. I’m gonna find a different base template while I attempt to get this layout working! If anyone wants it, they can use it ^_^
Also, this is one thing that makes me so happy! Fionn and Ashley look really handsome in their new duds.
